Welcome:  To the Archdiocese of Dubuque website for the Year of Faith.  We are very excited to participate in the Holy Father’s call to “rediscover the journey of faith.”

When:  The Year of Faith opened on October 11th 2012 and joyfully continues until the Feast of Christ the King on November 24th, 2013.

What: The Year of Faith is the Holy Father’s desire for all Catholics to be renewed in their faith.  It is our prayer that each person of the Archdiocese of Dubuque will experience and encounter Christ anew through this Year of Faith.

Why: The Year of Faith celebrates two major events in our Church:  the 50th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council (11 October 1962), and the 20th anniversary of the promulgation of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (11 October 1992).

How can I participate?: We ask each parish to participate in the Year of Faith through innovative efforts at formation and transformation.  Please take time to explore this website, which offers many ideas and resources for celebrating the Year of Faith and contact your parish to learn more.

Open wide the doors to Christ and rediscover the joy of being Catholic!!
