Church Design and Renovation Commission (CDRC)
The Church Design and Renovation Commission assists the Archbishop in his role as steward of the diocesan spaces for worship. The CDRC seeks to assist each community and its members with the liturgical aspects of building and/or renovating worship spaces. The CDRC reviews parish plans for new construction or renovation of worship spaces and offers a critique of these plans in light of the liturgical documents of the Church and the guidelines of the Archdiocese of Dubuque. Along with archdiocesan liturgical consultant teams the CDRC participates in implementing policies approved by the Archbishop pertaining to the liturgical design aspects of worship spaces. They also serve interested groups, parishes and archdiocesan councils and boards as a resource for ideas and information relating to environment for worship.
