The office of the archives and records strives to collect, maintain, preserve and make available the official records of the Archdiocese and those ancillary records, which reflect the mission and history of our institution and the work of the Church within the Archdiocese.  These records are maintained for the pastoral and temporal benefit of our archbishop and parish families as well as the faithful of our community.

The holdings of the Archives include, but are not limited to:

Administrative records of various Archdiocese offices

The archival records of various Catholic individuals and organizations within the Archdiocese

Parish histories

St. Bernard Seminary Records

Photographs

Sacramental Records

Every parish is required by law to maintain records of all baptisms, confirmations, marriages and deaths.  While it is true that these parish record books contain information about public events, they also contain private information. Access to these records is limited to authorized persons only.

Individuals may obtain copies of their own sacramental records from the following parishes.

Open Parishes: See: Parish Information

Closed Parishes: (Click here)
